Private office/surgical nurse for a horrible nasty physician. I stayed about a year and a half because the pay was so good, then finally decided there really were jobs I wouldn't do for any amount of money.

I worked in T K Maxx (T J Maxx in America). Hated the first night, that was probably the worst, but it didn't get much better. Worked 5 hours evenings, after being in school all day, 3 evenings a week (originally they wanted me doing 4) and often 8 hour shifts weekend days. Really busy and understaffed too. Often had no free floor staff on weekends, so if you're on your register and a product has no price, there's no-one to find a matching product, or if you're on fitting room, there's no-one to put the unwanted clothes back out. Get grief off the customers too. Also, I found out shortly before I left that a lot of people were complaining that they were underpaid, although I'd always been too nervous to bring this up - that was another problem as well, this was my first job and I wasn't confident to raise issues with my manager. Still, at least I could do it and it built up my confidence greatly.

Meat department night cleaner at a mom & pop grocery store. A $hit job if there ever was one.

It reminded me of The Jungle by Upton Sinclair--all kinds of disgusting crap went on back there that I can't even mention. The butchers would smoke while they cut meat and one time a guy slapped a steak down onto a cutting board that was soaking with bleech and I told him about it and he just ignored me. The sad thing was that everybody in the town remarked about how the meat at that grocery store was the best around. Sick!

This sounds bad to say,but when I was 14 I had a 2 week job with the Salvation Army.I was one of the people who would ring a bell at Christmas, and people are supposed to donate money in the metal bucket. It was an embarrassing job,and I hated the fact I had to stand outside in below freezing temperatures.Kmart would not allow me to stand inside of their store.

Every single Waitressing job, I've ever heard. For every nice table you get....there are 8 or so douche bags. And best believe, if you're enough of a douche' servers will Dane Cook your *** in a heart beat...Don't under-tip, either. I've found that the majority of people receive a bad tip, WILL remember the customer's face. Thank God I've moved on from that industry.

Without a doubt - Quality Technician in a large Medical Device Corporation. There was no direction, terrible proceedures, lieing co-workers, a lot of butt kissing, a 166 mile a day commute, extreem stress, terrible boss, and the list goes on and on.....

Factory work! It was a summer job in a shoe factory, counting and packing heel inserts. UGH! I lasted 3 weeks, then went to my college and got a job at the University Press, as a receptionist--bonus!

The absolute worst? For four months I was a rep for a business college. Talked to young girls (primarily) and their parents about sending them to school to become secretaries. The program included classes on charm(!!) I got fired for not selling enough enrollments.

I was a private investigator, which sounds glamorous but basically I sat in a cubicle all day with no one to talk to and I had to fill out a slip as to what I was doing every 15 minutes. It was like a prison camp.
