I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP home on my laptop, now when i get around a wifi connection my laptop won't connect to it, what adjustments should I make to fix this?

It sounds more likely that when you installed XP you did not install the driver for your wireless device in the laptop.

You would need to find out what type of wireless device you are using and search the web for the XP Home Drivers for it.

Follow these steps, it might work:
1)Go on Start
2)Go on Control Panel
3)Click on Network Connections
4)On the left hand side, you will see Network Trouble Shooter, Create a new connection, and many other options. Try them all.
