I watched CSI Las Vegas and a murder happened in a brothel, but they never questioned the legality of the brothel itself.
Are brothels legal but not street prostitution or vice versa, in Las Vegas and also in the United Kingdom?

CIS Las Vegetables is a TV show more fiction than truth.
Truth: Prostitution and brothels in general are illegal inside Clark County and particularly within the city limits of Las Vegas.
Truth: Brothels are legal OUTSIDE Clark County in places like areas called Crystal and Pahrump.
So the brothel they were relying on was either in Pahrump or Crystal, both of which are at least an hour outside of Las Vegetables.
I don't know about England. But when I lived there, birds used to post cards in phone booths all over the West End offering their services as being just a phone call away. So I am guessing if it was illegal, its practiced widely there.
Sounds like CSI took a little bit of too much license with the locale of the homicide..
And in case you want to know how I know ... I've lived in Pahrump, NV and the brothels are way at the edge of town and don't bother anyone. No known homicides there in years.

Actually, prostitution is legal in some parts of nevada, including Vegas. Brothels are legal there, but regulated.

Women fought hard for equal rights back in the mid 40s, Is it not such a shame that the freedom they won has only been shackled by the same women who sell their bodies for money. If you women don't want to be objectionalized then stop being OBJECTS. When I see a girl in a miniskirt I don't see a woman, I see a piece of ***. Its not that I belittle the woman, she belittles herself by dressing like a tramp. For the past 3000 years there is enough historically documented evidence of males thinking with the wrong head that it should just be an accepted part of culture at this point, so wearing such clothing only provokes the male mind to sexualize such a female instead of respect her, inviting rape and disrespect. The brothels in Nevada are a complete step backwards for civilized society.

Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas though the county near Las Vegas has legal prostitution.

In Las Vegas, prostitution is illegal.... In Nevada, it is legal and there are legal brothels.
Oh, and CSI is all Hollywood.... make believe... about 10 % of what goes on on that show has any reality to it.

I don't know about the UK but yes brothels are legal in certain areas of Nevada. They are strictly regulate by the state and the department of health.

Brothels are legal in Nevada under government regulation. Not sure of UK but not anywhere else in US is it legal.

As far as I know, prostitution is only legal in certain counties in Nevada, although I believe that it should be legalized and regulated by the states. Many police officers ignore prostitution because they can't stop it, and it is usually a victimless crime.
