Why do Americans think they own America?

Question

first of all, pilgrims killed and murdered tons of poor Indians and took over where they lived. Started a manifest destiny and started a war agaist Mexico to take over California, Texas and a whole bunch of other states that now belong to the U.S. Took over Hawaii and Alaska were there are mostly natives. ANd now they want to say "mexicans are taking over". Whats up with that??? Thats called karma. Whats your opinion?

Even the native peoples were colonists. Yup. They just did it 10,000 years earlier. And while I don't condone violence in any way, lets not forget that the native people were constantly warring with each other and torturing slaves long before Europeans arrived.

People are people and they are found all over the world but they don't sit still they move about. We can't change the past, we can only go forward with courage and compassion.

There is only one race, the human race. There is only one planet Earth and we all have to find a better way to share it.. Thats my opinion.

If it weren't for the Whites whom you hate so much, you wouldn't even be on this computer. America wouldn't have the laws and government it does now.


PS. I live in Hawaii, and I can tell you that most of the Hawaiians here are thankful for the Europeans coming in and putting an end to the barbaric practices on these islands. They were throwing people into lava pits because they broke a slight kapu! You know what they tried to give to Cook when he came over? A roasted human arm!


So don't ever pull that cr*p about the Hawaiians again. You don't know what you're talking about.

First of all, Native Americans are Americans too. At least THEY own America, don't you think?

Second, you can pose the same question to Canadians, Australians, Mexicans, Peruvians, Venezuelans, etc.

Most of the Eastern tribes died of disease. Spain abandoned Mexico. I guess we just need a war to kick them out

Robert C should not be listened to. He needs to take his own advice and READ! Hawaii was NOT purchased. It was stolen by an American backed militia that held a bloodless coup lead by Stanford Dole who was then made governor.

Edit: Also Benvenuto is full of it. I am Hawaiin and I'll tell you right now he doesn't know what he is talking about. The Hawaiians did NOT welcome the Europeans. What kind of crap is that! The Hawaiians of the time killed Capt. Cook with their bare hands because they were so angry with what he did to the natives.
My guess is this guy lives in the mainland controlled area of Hawaii, probably near the hotels or the Air force base, because he wouldn't make it in the native areas where hawaiians live in horrid conditions.
