After reading the article, I agree with the guy. Cleveland is a place full of losers. Their football team sucks, Their basketball team is choking in the NBA finals, Their Hockey team? Woah, they have a hockey team? Somebody pinch me. Cleveland sucks.

I hate Seattle though. The Seahags are going downhill fast, their basketball team is going to the crapper, The mariners were stupid enough to sign Jeff"0-7 with 14.something era" Weaver.

He was giving an honest opinion on a question & it blows up on a slow sports talk day. It is his feelings, probably based more on the team's front office, as anything else. I respect him for speaking his mind on the matter.

I'm live 15 minutes outside of downtown Cleveland. I can tell you two things for certain. Nobody cares about Ichiro here--we'd never have him anyhow. And we don't care about hockey either. Yes are young basketball team is losing--not choking. Choking would represent the fact that we were favored and we are blowing it--Cavs will have their titles idiot.
A city full of losers--hmmm-show proof . I'm no loser-my kids are no losers-my wife certainly is no damn loser. If Suzuki (What in the hell makes him so special that he doesn't use his last name) can take his happy butt back to Japan -nobody will miss him. And sicne you want to open your pie hole--where are you from? Cleveland is a great sports town and even more then that-Northeast Ohio is a great place to live (Lake Erie, the Islands, Cedar Point). Kiss my Buckeye ***.

He probably dislikes it because he's clueless. Most people who have lived there, or anywhere in the region, know that it's got plenty to offer.
And I don't remember Seattle winning anything in a long time - their baseball team couldn't win in the playoffs even after winning 116 in the regular season, and their football team was outclassed in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
Edit - I don't dislike either city, I just feel like I have to stick up for Cleveland. It shocked me to hear Ichiro say that, though!

Being a Clevelander, I can say that Ichiro is an ignoramous. Anyone who hates on Cleveland hasn't been there in the last 20 years. Yes, we haven't won a championship in anything but indoor soccer since 1964 (Browns before the Super Bowl), but it is a sports mecca, we love our teams, and stand behind them no matter what. How many cities can say they pack house win or lose? Not many.

It's probably because the first series was snowed out. It was the only time the Mariners were going to be in Cleveland this season. As it turns out they were in Cleveland for those few days and now must return to play one game series in between series that had an off-day for travel. Don't take it personally, he probably exaggerated a little.

Tee hee hee! I love Cleveland and Clevelanders, as well as Seattle and Seattlytes. But you Cleveland folks are not showing yourselves very well. Obviously, he is dreading the trip to play the tough Indians. And out comes the racism. C'mon, people! He is RESPECTING you, not trashing you! Both of your cities are great -- respect one another.

I don't know all the facts that would possess Suzuki to say hateful words about one of my favorite cities in the USA. But has anyone checked his VISA, when does it expire? Also if he hates Cleveland, then he hates America as far as I'm concerned, it's time for Suzuki to go back to Japan. For any non-American citizen to blast this country, while raping millions of dollars from it, while living in it, is an Anti-American.

I was really surprised at Ichiro's comments about punching himself in the face if he ever wanted to go to Cleveland. It is very unlike him to defame anyone like this.
