First let me encourage you to move these types of questions over the Science & Mathematics: Alternative section that have categories for parapsychology and paranormal phenomena.

Now.It depends on what you mean by real and ghost.
People (in fact 25% of grieving people) have the experience of seeing a deceased loved one. This experience is as real as getting angry or falling in love (things you can't touch or test very well in a laboratory). So, the experience of seeing a ghost is real.
If by ghost you mean the image of someone that you know can not be physically present at the location you are at when you are seeing them (and this can include living people) then ghost are real because you are perceiving/experiencing them.
If you mean do we survive bodily death as a type of ghost or spirit then that question remains unanswered.
However, let me suggest the book "Human Personality and It's Survival of Bodily Death" by FWH Myers. Written in 1901 is it still (sadly) the best book ever written on the subject.

If you don't believe then spend enough time in my apartment building and you will. Mysterious noises, water and appliances turning on by themselves, shadows, objects moving on their own. Never had any real problems, though. We don't bother them and they don't bother us.

Everyone should believe in ghost.
If you believe in afterlife you should believe in ghost.
There have been so many sightings they have to be real.
