I have a certain affinity for Yahoo Answers, but the horrid spelling and grammar is disappointing. I feel that my tax dollars are being wasted. And Yahoo provides a spell checker, too.

People could think its cool or just don't pay attention. Be happy that at least you're smart enough to spell "lose" right.

the same reason people spell "dessert" "desert". either a lack of education or their not paying enough attention to their spelling.

I agree! It's so annoying. One time, I had to pull out a DICTIONARY to show someone they were wrong!

same reason they spell "their" and there", "to" and "too", "were" and "where", etc.
