If you have a Home Depot near you, try there. I installed one of theirs in my home about 7 years ago. It has a Westminster chime which is loud enough to wake the dead when adjusted to maximum volume. Their display will probably be fixed so that you can listen to the bell before making your purchase.

Try RNID on-line shop. It is a charity that assists people who are deaf or with hearing difficulties. As well as loud doorbells, they also sell vibrating door alarms (which is a pager system). Hope this is of some help.

All the best

We have covered a long distance in time from the days of knocks and knockers. We cannot go back to the good old days. I prefer door bells to the rude knockers.

Try RS Components - They keep a vast range of bells, buzzers, bleepers and sirens and their delivery is second to none.
