Computer running slow can be many things:

- Try to clean up your disk by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup. Now this can take sometimes, if you have never done this before, it will compress old files, on my Computer it run for 1 to 2 hours.
- Your system might starting up to many files, you can see that next to your time right bottom corner. If you have a lot of Icons there it uses a lot of your memory and that slows down too - how to fix that you would have to do msconfig I can explain that if you want takes a little bit long to describe.
- Try to defragment your hard drive it takes a lot of time too - To do that go to my Computer, right click on your main hard drive, go to Properties, Tools, Defragmet now. Might take sometimes a few hours too.
- Virus or Spyware infected your computer - run Anti Virus/Spyware Program to get rid of them.

I hope this helps you, if you have any Questions just let me know.

Have a nice day

Might just be RAM overload. Try these and see if they don't help:

- set wallpaper and screensavers to blank or none — they run continuously in the background and use memory.
- review your start menu – remove anything you don’t need on a daily basis — load games, etc. on an as-needed basis.
- from Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options: delete cookies, delete files (offline), and clear history.
- run Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, Defrag at least every two weeks (the more frequently they are run, the less time they take).
- periodically, click Start, Programs, Run — they type ipconfig renew
(that’s ipconfig space renew).
These things should increase speed and free up memory as much as possible.
It will also help if you download two free programs: Ad-aware and Spybot .

You're probably using most of your system resources(RAM) Make sure there's minimal things running in the background...clear out all programs from the Start Up folder and make sure you don't have much running in the task bar next to the clock...also try running an error cleaner to clean out all errors...try Error Guard...it took out over 800 errors on my comp. Also, clear cookies and internet temp files regularly. Try running a disk defrag every other week or so. HTH!

Need to knoiw more about the computer?

How much ram do you have? you really should have at least 1 gig, i prefer 2+....

1st i would go thru and uninstall any programs you dont use, if you do alot of websurfing and playing games online they all install and take up space, also do a disk cleanup and a disk defragmentation... this is just a start.... but it should slow down the freezing you are encountering...
Good Luck
