Depo gives you the side effects of being pregnant. Since you are bleeding and up to date on the shots, I highly doubt you are pregnant.
These are the most common side effects:
* irregular, increased, or decreased menstrual bleeding;
* no menstrual bleeding at all;
* pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site;
* headache or dizziness;
* nervousness;
* nausea;
* breast tenderness;
* changes in weight or appetite (up to 70% gain weight);
* oily skin or acne; or
* changes in hair growth.
The worst effect of depo is on bone density, though. The shot severely depletes it, and it isn't reversible. Please take that into consideration if you continue the shot.

As long as you have ovaries and a uterus and are having sex, you could potentially get pregnant. The real question is the probability of pregnancy. The effectiveness of Depo is somewhere around 99%--meaning the likelihood of you being pregnant is pretty small.
Sounds like a good time to call the doctor. With all the birth control methods on the market, why stick with one that is causing you that many problems?

It isn't that uncommon, but definitely isn't unheard of. I too had bleed ever since the shot, and 6 months later I'm still bleeding. I never did go back for my second shot. You are still protected, as long as you aren't ovulating. Depo is supposed to stop you from ovulating, and for some of us, that means being on our period the whole time we're on it. So I guess it works that way... lol. I was put on Bio-identical Progesterone Hormones which lightened the bleeding to spotting, but eventually it came back and I haven't quit bleeding since. But the Progesterone helped me with feeling too hot/cold, made me have more energy, took all the symptoms away except the bleeding and the weight gain. Try talking to your doctor about switching methods. You could become Anemic if you bleed for too long.

YES you can get pregnant on the depo shot.
The ONLY 100% effective method of birth control is abstinence.
I know someone who got pregnant on depo.
With you and the bleeding, it may be a "normal" side affect of the shot.
Please rethink the shot, there are so many negative side affects of the shot it isn't funny. There are also class action lawsuits against Pfizer for how this shot treats women.
I was on it for four years and I am so glad I am OFF of it now.
Please reconsider it!

After I had my baby I got on the depo shot a few weeks later. It made me bleed really heavy for about two weeks then it stopped. My doctor told me if the bleeding was really heavy and bothersome they could give me a pill that could stop it, so maybe you should talk to yours if thats bothering you.
I just got an injection today and my arm is killing me horribly, and my back is aching like crazy.

To desirable it off, i did no longer get my first era till 2 months after the shot replaced into meant to placed on off. wager what? I wasn't pregnant. I ought to have offered inventory in First reaction i offered this variety of super style of HPTs. I say, if the attempt says you're actually not, have faith it. What you're experiencing are textbook symptoms of coming off the shot.
