time would matter, the fact that you have forever doesn't matter, time relies on change, if nothing changed, there was no movement not sound no anything, time would be considered stopped... just because you have forever doesn't mean you get to go back... and people will always be impatient

If we were immortal then time would be our worst enemy. To never die and continue to walk the land when we are purly done with everything there is to do would be come a he** on earth. There may be more procrastination... but there would be far more regrets. We would also be missing out on alot of things, such as being able to have children (although I dont want any) this is natural as the world would become overcrowded too quickly. What about having a job... working for a company for 20 years is a long time... but working for a company for 100 is longer... 1000 longer still. Imagine the wars... who would win when no one can die?? Would this lead to more or less war? How about self fulfillment? How could we ever find happiness in life when we do not apreciate that we are on borrowed time? Would this make us immune to illnesses? What would happen if someone developed cancer? Would they then have to be sick for eternity? The idea of being immortal may be apealing because of our natural fear of death... but having a limited time to be alive helps us see that we need to enjoy every min. we are given... not waste it for centuries to come.

Well, the soul is immortal, but the earth passeth away... but since you are talking imortality here, I would say that I would not procrastinate because I still would have to live up to the standards of society. That being said, I think an advantage of being immortal would give the benifit of learning from other people's mistakes...
Disadvantage would have to be watching loved ones die I guess.
Life is a treasure... Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow's a mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

I'm not that sure it matters to mortals. The concept of time is so linear! "Regret" is a word I never use. If I had the same choices forever, I would make the same, as I am, & will forever be who I am. The reason I don't believe in "regrets" is that, "mistakes" are only perceived to be mistakes at the moment. Everything we do, or don't do, all shaken up together is a pattern of perfect harmony. It's as irrelevant as thinking, "I shouldn't have done that!" & retrospectively, realizing all the wonderful consequences that evolved from it.
Edit: Did "retard" violate the guidelines???

If we are immortal time would not matter but the danger is if we are procastinators we would procrastinate over and over and over again until all eternity.............hahah not a pretty sight to see....................
In one way it would be nice to be like the Greek and Roman Gods you hear about in myths they had super powers but caused grief to some of the non-mortals.............in essence since I am a human being I am proud to be and I would not want to be immortal even if it meant I could figure out what i truly want to do with my life...........hahaha I know people that if they were immortal they would have the same thoughts and actions in their lives Over and Over againnnnnnnnnnnnn ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh bad I just want to go through life once hahaha........................Also because life is so valuable it will make you take that trip, get that education, do something over and beyond because you know life is short and not forever :)))))))))))))

I suspect time might hang heavy in our hands. So we possibly wouldn't procrastinate much but rather do whatever came to hand and spend time on it. That could be satisfying, freed of the insanity of urgency. And we'd have time to learn from regrets, and not do everything over and over again. That would be pleasant. But one can have too much of a good thing, I think, and with immortality life itself might lose its edge.

Hypothetically speaking,
Yes, time would remain relevant for reasons of
synchronization and consequences related to time. In fact, it
would probably be more important considering that more
beings would be present simultaneously requiring more
coordination.
I don't see why immortals shouldn't desire convenience.
In fact, wouldn't immortals be more motivated because
by their immortal nature they would have an opportunity
to reap the fruits of all their pursuits no matter how
far into the future. Regarding negative reinforcement,
immortals might be more motivated because they would
be required to endure the mal-effects of disregard for
present action in producing the consequences for future
health in the environment.

Advantages = None
Disadvantages = Overpopulation
And the word procrastination is only a word.

of course time matters. we would not be procrastinaters becuase no matter what, youre always going to have only a certain amount of time to do something. we would of course regret things to do. what if the person you loved left you. you would regret not doing what you should have. the in my opinion there are no advantages to it. we should all live life how it comes. the world would be soooo screwed up if everyone was immortal.

You should read the poem "Tithonus" by Tennysson. It is a beautiful poem and captures my feeling about immortality and time in words I could never imagine.
Time maybe a function of our minds and we trapped in time, are trapped in our own minds. Immortality would perpetuate this even more and I do not want this- I want to be free one day.
