Go to your local hardware store, Wallmart, Target, even some grocery stores and pick up some Dcon.
Mice have no bones, so you don't have to worry about finding their skeletons. Dcon dehydrates them so they become dust.
Just make sure to keep the Dcon out of reach of children and pets.

Several things...DCon-its an edible poison that usually kills them within 3 to 5 days. Problems with DCon is that the mice tend to hide (within walls) and die once the poison kicks in. Which means you usually noticed the dead mice by their foul smell.
Glue Traps...they do work but in most instances you still have to "kill" the mouse. Glue traps trap them, not kill them. That dirty work is usually left for you. Plus you can hear them squeal when they get trapped.
3rd thing is the good old fashion mouse traps. Now they do work but not as good as the other 2. Why? Because small mice (babies) can get the food off of the trap w/out setting it off. Something about the weight. So I suggest putting peanut on the trap and wrapping a string around, that way when its trying to eat the peanut butter it will tug on that string and boom, dead mouse. Another con about mouse traps is that they usually aren't "killed' in the prettiest position. Its usually a grewsom sight. Oh and its an old wifes tale but they say don't use the trap again once you've caught a mouse on it cause other mice can smell the old dead mouses scent on it and it warns them. I don't reuse them cause its just nasty trying to get the dead mouse of it and I get the traps for like 4 for a $1.

First of all, be humane and responsible...poisoning endangers other pets and even possibly children...traps are a very disgusting way to die for any creature and even worse to clean up after...cats are the best answer...also mice hate mothballs, boric acid crystals...live trapping them (if you can handle looking at their little faces) is a great way... you can relocate them to a local park or the nearby woods or fields to be a part of the ecocycle (lunch for a hawk!!!)

Traps or Dcon-which is rat poison. The mice eat it and die. Traps are better though-then you know where the dead mouse is!
