Some people are born with men's or women's genitalia, but they have the opposite sex's body. therefore these people feel trapped, are treated like weirdos by society, and they get the operation done, which I am sure changes their lives for the better, and they are able to lead normal lives, wether accepted by others, or not.
It is only my belief, but some other People may have psychological problems, which creates the need for them to be the oppossite sex, so they have the operations even though at times they may need their doctors approvals, and may not even have it.
Ther was a Person, I think he was a man first, and then changed, back and forth 3 or 4 times.
What do I tihnk about it? TO EACH HIS OWN.

i replaced into continually curious as to why human beings can't go away medical judgements to the truly professionals. lots of the surgical procedures/methods lined by insurances require a referral from a medical practitioner. inspite of the indisputable fact that there are such numerous human beings obtainable who sense that they ought to have a say into which methods are or are not a medical necessity. there is truly no rationalization for human beings to have a say in drugs except their own egocentric perspectives. there's a rationalization why all medical practitioners might want to study drugs for extremely a lengthy time period and then be approved. that's so as that they can make those judgements really than the overall public. in the different case what's next, we are going to placed each and every surgical treatment carried out by a wellbeing care professional to a referendum?

Well, gender surgery is *major* surgery, but I don't think it's officially classed as *radical*.
I've had surgery; how much it's changed my life is difficult to quantify, since it was less than two months ago. It has made a huge psychological difference to me though.
Even if I were able to have children (transsexual treatment makes it impossible), I didn't plan on having any more anyway; I have a daughter, whom I love dearly.
Do I think *what* is nature or nurture?
having chidren? that's nature.
Being transsexual? that's nature, too.
(Tom w; please use a spellchecker. the word is 'ridiculous', not 'rediculous'. As is your answer ;))

transgender folks, cannot have children naturally, of course they can always adopt.
they prepare by taking gender specific hormones, they are required to get considerable counselling and psychological testing.
It has been my experience in caring for these patients that they are truly happier in their changed status.
