internet speed is good but when i download torrents the speed is really low ? is this because of the wifi and how can i increase the speed of download torrents? please help i just got the wifi 2 days ago.

wifi is a lot slower. also u might have to go to properties and change connection. u might also have to do a connection test

I can only read into your comments and assume. It would be very helpful if you were to be more clear in what you have and what the problem appears to be.

I presume you had a wired connection that downloaded rather fast. I suspect you had a 100 Mbps wired connection on the LAN and an ADSL download of 1.5 Mbps so the internet was the slow side.

You then installed a wireless access point and you note the download is a lot slower. This suggests the wireless connection is the weak link. Move the pc close to the wireless and see if it improves. Wireless signals weaken and eventually become worthless as you go away from the access point. Wireless signals also are weakened by masonry, metal ducting, etc. You may need to change the location of the access point or the pc or both.
