Never in a million years,will Basketball ever become the worlds favorite sport over Soccer, Basketball is a ridiculous sport,with a ridiculously long season that interferes with America's past-time sport of baseball,and basketball has so many unbecoming players,that always seems to be in the headline news in trouble with the law, there just a bunch of over payed bozo's.

no because even as the NBA is expanding into Europe, Asia, and South America, it is rapidly losing support in America. Ratings are down and the image is moving to a kind of Hip-hop thuggish league and I'm not sure thats the best way to go. Soccer will always be number one in the world and depending on how LeBron James does in his career and how Beckham does in his new job, soccer may one day overtake basketball in popularity.

I agree... soccer is pretty much the only sport I have never played, and never will... Basketball is taking control of all of the people of the furture.... at least in the US that I have noticed! definately!

Very much doubt it.
The NBA has had dwindling TV viewership.....
I just cannot see Soccer taking a backseat to Basketball...and this coming from someone who HATES the NBA.
