yes

The entire world thought Sadaam had them, and we still don't know if he doesn't. All it takes is one truckload of a chemical to kill everyone in New York city.

They aren't called weapons of mass destruction for nothing.

He did have them at one time, and we still aren't sure he hasn't hidden them in Syria. The general public will never have access to the intellegence that the President and certain members of Congress have.

You certainly seem to think that WE should all be reminded of this.

Actually that's quite an interesting document. I always get annoyed when, here in the UK, people whinge "When is Bliar going to apoligise for lying about WMDs in Iraq?" Well, it wasn't a lie, as he thought it was true, along with the intelligence community, and most of the world. As did the politicians on both left and right wings, as your article demonstrates.

Yes, I heard a speech that Al Gore gave in '92 lambasting
George the Elder for not being tough enough on Sadam Hussein. It should be played at the Democratic National Convention. It can be accessed in Limbaugh's website from You Tube.

Okay. I'll play quote wars.

Claim: Former President George Bush wrote that trying to eliminate Saddam Hussein during the Gulf War in 1991 would have "incurred incalculable human and political costs."

How funny that prior to 9/11 Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice said that Iraq was no threat and they had no WMD's.

BTW, most of those quotes were said prior to the 1998 bombing campaign that Clinton did on Iraqi targets. It's funny how much the military industrial corporate profiteers has a hold on both of our political parties.
The fact remains that there were no WMD's and some Dems didn't vote for giving the President the power to make the decision to go to war. Essentially, the dems and the gop that voted for this bill, voted against their own power as congress.

Edit: The entire world knew that Saddam didn't have WMD's. Even the UN said that he didn't have them. And, the UN rightfully did not sanction the U.S invasion.

"The entire world thought Sadaam had them, and we still don't know if he doesn't."

And therein lies the problem. I'd like to confirm facts before I spout them. Bush wasn't saying "Saddam *might* have WMDs" as he ramped up for war, he said he DID have WMDs.

I'm no Democrat (plan to vote for Ron Paul when the time comes), but damn...Can't we be sure about accusations before we state them? Is that really too much to ask? Or is faulty intel totally excusable these days?

There are many quotes, and even some videos indicating that many members of the democrat party totally believed WMD existed and Saddam was a threat.
