and i'm looking to buy an aerial extender cable ( http://www.dabs.com/ProductList.aspx?NavigationKey=4294954473,50468,11&CategorySelectedId=11182 )

but i have no idea if i need an R-SMA connector or an R-TNC please help!

Also anybody have any experience with these aerial extenders?

Using of Reverse SMA or Reverse TNC connector is depend on the both devices. For example Linksys could use R-TNC and the other-end device using R-SMA. In that case you can buy a Pigtail which has R-SMA in the first end and R-TNC and the other-end. That's it.

Note: Make sure you read and understand the spec first for every devices you want to connect. And friendly suggestion: Don't buy cheap pigtail which usually has bad quality. Purchase pigtail from reputable vendors such as Times Microwave, Andrew, Belden, etc.

You will need the R-SMA cable. I dont have experience with those cables, but have used many in my life. There's nothing to them, just a way to extend the heigth of your antenna.
