Both impeachments were the results of partisan politics. Andrew Johnson was impeached for firing a cabinet member, much to the displeasure of Congress. The ensuing debacle made the Clinton impeachment, which itself wasn't based on what would realistically be considered a "high crime or misdemeanor", look good.

Clinton's impeachment, at least, was based on an actual criminal offense, even if the degree of the offense was subject to discussion.

I personally would probably not have voted to impeach either one based on the definition of what impeachment should be for and the crimes of which they were accused.

Neither.
Both impeachments were baseless evil witch-hunts against Democrats by partisan GOP politicians who were far worse in every way than the impeached President.

Johnson for firing his Secretary of War.
Clinton for lying about a blojob in a "lawsuit without merit".

But I'd vote to convict and remove Junior Bush because he is a war criminal, murderous-liar, spy, torturer, election-fraud, treaty-violator, kidnapper, terrorist and criminally negligent scumbag, who should be removed to prison for the rest of his natural life with no chance of parole.

I would cast an impeachment ballot for Bush. I know that doesn't answer your question, but please, he is the one we need to be taking care of right now.

Do your own homework. Open a book. Do some reading. Don't expect it to be easy by asking others to give you answers.

Both incidents were irrelevant to how well the President does his job.
