So, I have a few movies in my collection that I hated on the big screen but fell in love with when I saw on DVD, like Pitch Black, Hulk, and Fantastic Four (I realize that those selections make me sound like a fourteen-year-old, but I assure you, I'm not, and I have a lot of classics in my collection, too). So, what movies did YOU all hate in the theatres but love on DVD/VHS?

OK, maybe my idea was a little confusing. I wanted you all to write me with movies that you liked more the second time around; I didn't ask for "If I hate a movie, I hate it", or "some movies are better on the big screen". I asked for movies you hated the first time around but like better on the small screen. That's what I'm asking. Yeesh.

There are lots! I think that they are more guilty pleasures, you know those movies you don't really want to admit you love in public, but that you can enjoy in the privacy of your own home! But i'm still not gonna tell you any of mine!

The only movies that aren't better on the big screen are movies you're ashamed of watching, like Hulk. Some movies are MUCH better in the theatre. Jaws, the Indiana Jones flicks, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket all are like completely different experiences in the theatre.

I have never hated a movie on the big screen and loved it when it came out on DVD. If I hated the movie, I hated the movie.

I'm one of those people that will only watch a movie once. I have several DVDs but they mostly belong to my husband and kids. If I hate a movie in the theater I usually won't buy the DVD.

Se7en....My g/f and I both fell asleep trying to watch this at the theater, but it's one of the best...except for the "What's in the box?!?" overacted moment.
From Dusk till Dawn....I thought it was totally kick *** until the vampires, I went to see it without really knowing anything about it, anyways I thought it was totally stupid after that point. But after giving it another try at home, I realized how wrong I was, it kicks ***.

I love this movie! And I do agree that Bridges and Goodman are what make it so great! What's not to love about the movie?

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It was too long for the theater but great for the living room.
