This is part of the problem when fans vote for the all-star team. You are obviously a Mets fan and that's great. However, how can you vote LoDuca .305-17-3 over Martin .298-41-7. It's great to pull for your players but why not put the best players on the starting team? After all, if the National League wins the all-star game and the Mets win the National League pennant, the Mets would have home field advantage in the world series. You better take another look at Martin.

poor. i'd nicely be a biased Reds fan inspite of the indisputable fact that that's a funny tale that a guy hitting .267 ,with arguably the acceptable hitter contained in the NL batting in the back of him, leads NL first baseman over a guy hitting .330. Mauer is a extra nicely accepted participant. human beings do not pay interest to the very incontrovertible truth that in basically 9 video games, he hit .235. It jogs my memory of even as Manny replaced into the range voted NL a million outfielder throughout a 50 sport suspension for steroids. Teixeria's a Yankee. no extra needs stated. I agree, fan vote casting might want to paintings if it replaced into executed by in ordinary words authentic followers, yet all and multiple with a favourite crew or who's been to a sport or 2 votes and it ruins the completed component. i'm extraordinarily confident the human beings putting those ridiculous votes are an similar those who take a seat next to me contained in the bleachers seats in left field and verify out to ***** about ball and strike calls, no matter if or not they are about 450 ft from abode plate. maximum followers are dumb.

I agree that this is why the fans should not vote for the All-Stars. I'm a huge Cub fan and voted for Derrek Lee and Aramis Ramirez, even though I realize Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera clearly deserve to start, but the Mets favoritism is just out of hand.

I think every one of their infielders is in the top 4, even Jose Valentin and Carlos Delgado. Russell Martin or Yadier Molina should start at catcher, but it looks like Molina may be injured. The only Mets that deserve to start are Jose Reyes and maybe Carlos Beltran.

Its LoDuca and he should not get the vote!!!!

He has a lousy 17 RBIs so far.

In order these catchers should be ahead of him:
Russell Martin
Bengie Molina
Brian McCann
Michael Barrett

All he has is 60 hits, but he gets those hits with nobody on base. 17 RBIs? Even the Pirates catcher has more!

I was sad to see LoDuca leave the Dodgers back in 2004. But that doesn't mean I'm voting for him now. I'm voting for Russell Martin.
