I have relocated at least a dozen of them in past 5 years. Get online and google "Havahart". They offer traps that do not injure pesky varmints....you bait them, they go for the bait, a door shuts and locks, and you pick up the trap and carry it to your vehicle, then go for a long ride....I have caught skunks as well....though, it isnt nearly as easy as a ground hog.
If that fails,... I have never seen a groundhog outrun a bullet.

I used a live trap with a birdseed bell inside. They LOVE bird seed. I caught 2 and released them in a local state park (completely illegal, but they had to go!)
I also caught a baby racoon, a squirrel and 2 birds.

I put cut up apples in a live trap and caught mine that way. Nice enough animal but he was eating my garden so he had to go.

We offered the traps that take a seat above the floor and the "spikes" are set to snap and go in the process the mole while it journeys them. you positioned them in a run that they keep utilising. we've had truly super luck with those. visit the hardward keep and ask.
