HECK! The Wii is AWESOME! wHY WOULDN'T anybody want it? There are some really good games out now. ex: Excite Truck, Heatseeker. And even though most of the games aren't to appealing there are some great games on the way, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime: Corruption ( The equivalent to Halo for Nintendo,I can't wait!) Ya the graphics may not be that good, but the enjoyment level is really high. For excite truck and other racing games, why sould u want to move a joystick around when u can steer the controller? Also, having the interactivity makes it really fun. In short, the reason I bought a Wii is because i enjoy it more than the 360 and because its unique.

I have my Wii because I love the innovation of the controller, I like being able to download classic games, and I can't wait to play awesome Nintendo games online against my friends (there are at least seven games confirmed to have online play by the end of this year). I'm also a real gamer, not one who judges a game based on graphics. Wii games are awesome....I don't know why you think they're not fun. Play Zelda, play Trauma Center, play Wario Ware, play Red Steel, play Super Paper Mario.....I could go on. There are a TON of good games in developement for the Wii right now from both Nintendo and third-party developers. The Wii presents variety, which is a nice change from the same old stuff. And I'll have an even bigger variety to choose from by the end of this year.
How the hell is a traditional gamer someone who plays FPSs??? Ugh....

It's a couple hundred cheaper than a 360 or ps3. It's easier to learn the games. It's fun for everyone not just men ages 13-35.
The whole point of the Wii was to target a larger market not just the traditional gamers. That's why you don't see a whole lot of FPS games on the Wii, but they are all over the Ps3 and 360. Old people and women love the Wii because it uses real world motions instead of thumbsticks.

People seem to like the WI so much because it is one of the only interactive games out there one of the main purposes of the WI is to appeal to a wider audience of people who like to be active but also like video games;Another logical reason is the huge craze of wanting to be a Healthier America which is why the Wii was invented it is meant to keep you active as you play so that for all the kids that just sit at home and play video games and eat junk food and gain weight they can now be active and still enjoy video games while being active and healthy

because people prefer innovative gameplay rather than playing a game based on graphics alone. Many good games out there do not rely on HD graphics to be fun and addictive like pokemon, castlevania, metroid, street fighter. The Wii was made with the mindset to include everyone that is not already a hard core gamer. For example, my mom would not play a game because there is too many buttons to press. With the wii, she only has to swing the control.

It is more user friendly. Cheaper, more accessible(spelling), and a newer, more interactive way to play. As for games, it has plenty of good ones. Paper mario, Zelda (of course) sonic, Wii sports (comes with it), Madden, and godfather just to name a few . The gaming library will be very friendly when it comes to hardcore gamers. Some fun future games will be Metroid Prime: corruption, Zelda(working title, Smash bros. brawl, battalion wars 2, Resident evil: umbrella chronicles, and Final fantasy Crystal Chronicles: crystal bearers ( I personally can't wait for this one)
Hope that helped

I love graphics, and I love good looking/playing games... but let me tell you man. Getting up and actually interacting with the game is such a huge change, that I can't help but want to play the Wii! You should have seen me when I first got Zelda for it. I was up slashing, blocking, jumping... Sure, graphics are great and Gears of War or Halo rule the world, and Metal Gear's story is the extreme, but there is nothing like the change Nintendo has given me. Nothing.

people like the Wii because first, some of the games are fun. not all. second, how you use the controller by moving it around is fun. my point is PS3 looks good, XBOX360 plays good, and the Wii is fun.
