Freedom! Democracy! Civil rights! How wonderful! aka Self-righteous, hypocritical, poorly informed, badly educated, gun-toting, interfering, exploiter, war mongering, bully.
Jealousy? Huh! I would be ashamed to call myself an American these days. Pity you couldn't hold to your values. And the idiot American who said you're a Christian nation founded by Christians, blah blah? Please learn the history of your own country first before you make such sweeping statements.

Wow Ben H, we can all burn in hell eh? Very liberal of you. It seems to me that it has become rather fashionable to hate the U.S. in Europe, a trend I noticed when I met a group of British exchange students in the early 90's. These were the Clinton years and they still hated us. I tried my best to be friendly with them, but it was like walking into a brick wall. I was hated for simply being born in a certain location, for having an accent and culture that they seemed to dispise for no rational reason. I finally gave up. Now If i judged all of Britain and Scotland solely on this experience I would have to conclude that you are all a very rude and nasty lot. But I know very well that every nation on this planet has it's rude, stupid and unpleasant people. The U.S. is a large and diverse nation believe it or not. Some are stupid and uninformed, and some are brilliant and maybe a little smarter than you! Some are rude, loud and uncultured but many are the complete reverse. Stop trying so hard to find any little fault and failing to knock us all down over here. Thou dost protest too much!

How can this question be answered, there are so many reasons:

Bush, Cultural Imperialism, war mongering nature, the fact they don't care about the rest of the world, they seem to have turned killing their friends into an art form, they are hypocrites - a fiercely secular society with a strong religious movement, they dont believe in killing any human under the age of 16 but after that age anything is fair game.........

I would say that anyone who hates these people who worship freedom, democracy, civil rights.Who donate billions of dollars to the most needy.Who were the first on hand with equipment ,food and manpower after the indonesian tsunami,.the ones who are have protected europe from the soviets for the duration of the cold war.The same americans that supplied the sidewinder missile and valuable data to the falklands task force.americans who are our greatest friend and ally, whilst the rest of europe takes pleasure in our misfortune.
Americans who are trying to instal democracy where evil flourishes.Whilst other nations do nothing but scoff.

yes I would say anyone who hates them should take stock.I firmly believe anti americanism is purely a fashion inspired and fuelled by the leftist media.I also belive the people who dislike america are plebs who utter anything they have heard that they feel will make them popular.
Sorry if that means you.

because the US is an instrument of The New World Order and too many Americans are brainwashed sheeple who have embraced the bogus sense of invincibility that has been induced in them.

The NWO controlled US has forfeited all soft power for brute force.

They have provoked loathing in much of the world 's population (much more than many realize) and a desire to see the global bully get his comeuppance.

The weak will always try to undermine the strong.

- Europe thinks it can put the fire out in its house by burning ours down. What fools.

To make it brief, let me remind you that people don't hate Americans because of jealousy but to large extent because of their government and administration scheme (which notoriously represented by CIA) to meddle with other country issue that is obviously not their bussiness to partake.

Apart from the moronic chav pick up truck culture that has been imported here, I think the Americans are bloody great and much prefer them to a large number of those who are supposed to be culturally enriching us.

Probably because some of us are bad apples and have gave them a bad impression, or it could be because of their media being biased towards us, or it could be because they haven't met enough of us to have an informed opinion.

Overall I think if anyone sees the true American People they will like us.
