There are so many success stories of people who do not have the education who have been super successful. Erik Erikson for example it one of the leaders in developmental psychology and has no more than a high school degree. Still he was offered a professorship at Harvard! If you are driven enough and outgoing enough, you can go as far as you want, regardless of how much formal education you have had. On the other hand, some jobs require education as a prerequisite, like becoming a doctor for example. It's completely your choice and it totally depends on the field you want to work in. Good luck either way.

Then why would you want only an associate's degree? True, Bill Gates dropped out of school and is now the richest man in the world. But he's an anomaly. In order to get anwhere in this world, people need to see you as a person with perseverance. Given someone else with the degree, and you, both having the same good qualities, the person with the degree will be chosen. This I promise you. Make the current sacrifice in time and money. It will pay off in a short time and after all, the difference in time between an Associate's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree is only two years. You have a lifetime ahead of you in a constantly changing world.

There are billionaires, presidents, and geniuses who haven't finished high school. The most important thing is to set clear, measurable goals and work towards them with your best possible effort.
