1) Sexing of a goldfish can be determined by examing the characteristics of your goldfish's body. See this article (complete with pictures) for information. http://www.bristol-aquarists.org.uk/goldfish/info/sexing-fs.htm
2) Yes, Goldfish lay eggs. When goldfish mature and are ready to mate, the female lays eggs and the male follows behind and fertilizes them. While I've not bred Goldfish, my understanding is a female can lay anywhere from 500 to 1,000 eggs in a single spawn
3) When a female lays eggs, it's pretty obvious. They stick to ANYTHING, and there are massive amounts eggs.

Girl goldfish have non-symmetrical butts-- look at the fish from the back.
Male goldfish usually develop Tubercles (they really look like little beard stubble !!) on their gills and/or front fin edges. Male goldfish usually have symmetrical butts -- even the biig fat fishes.
Males chase the females around the tank -- the females lay the eggs, the males fertilize the eggs outside the females' body.
And.. there are always exceptions to the rule-- I had a slender skinny goldfish -- I coulda sworn it was a male-- well, that "male" laid SO MANY eggs!!!LOL!!

First, be certain you have 10 gallons consistent with goldfish. And as they strengthen actual super in years yet to come back, you could want extra. Fancies are least perplexing in view that they only get like 8 inches. you do no longer want a heater, goldfish are coldwater fish. be certain you handle the water for chlorine and chloramines. and attempt a fishless cycle in the previous you place the fishies in, in any different case replace the water 25 % or much less as commonly as attainable to maintain the ammonia and nitrites down. in addition they want distinctive air, so get an prolonged tank, a sturdy clear out or perhaps one extra air bubble wand. Feed goldfish HIkari pellets, and for a handle lettuce or orange slices and frozen krill. Use a vacuum to scrub the gravel, and by no potential get a pleco in view that they are in a position to harm goldfish. wish that enables, sturdy success!!

You can tell the difference from there fins. Usually the ones by there tail. You have to have the right temperature for them to mate. You should do some research on the internet about it for all the information. You have to take the eggs out of the tank to put in a separate tank or divide it with a plastic sheet to keep the fish from eating the eggs and babies.

Goldfish are fish that are hard to identify gender. Godlfish do lay eggs. THey do this by mating and the male leave sperms that will fertilize them.
