has NASA ever brought back some space from space? if so, why? and if not, why not?

There is no space in space. Space is a vacuum.

They have brought back pieces of things IN space, like portions of a comet's tail, atoms cast off from the sun in solar winds, and moon rocks. But space itself isn't some object - it's a big field of emptiness with crap stuck in it every so often.

I think NASA is of the opinion that space is a vacuum except for intangible force fields, there is nothing to be gained for any efforts in that direction.
