Well on Saturdays, I help tutor. But I go to a Catholic school, and a rule they put in for tutors is they must come to school in their uniform, even on the weekends. There are different shifts. The shift I go to is from 1-3 and 4-6. So at 6, me and my friend were done for the day. We decided to play in the gym. We tried to play basketball (it's kind of hard in your school uniform) so then we went out to the playground to relax. We were too lazy to go out anywhere, or go home yet. So it's 7:45 PM now and way past our shift. We we're going to go home, but he had to get some stuff from our lockers. Our lockers are in different halls. We were the only people in the halls (as the rest were tutoring). So I got my stuff and am about to leave when the principal calls my name. He tells me to tuck in my shirt and that I have a detention for a uniform violation. Can he do this on a non-school day way past school hours (and my shift)? Is this right?

The ans were is ,yes, he can do it. You're on the school grounds and it's his rules. He probably should have gotten all the details first and given you a warning but, sorry he is in the right.

The very fact that he did it proves that he CAN (is legally entitled to) do so. The rule is uniforms worn in a certain way in the building. There is no statement regarding the time when you can wear your uniform in a manner different from that described by the rules. This is true as well in the military and in offices around the world. You have to dress a certain way in offices. If you stay past your shift, you can't suddenly break the dress codes. Sorry, but your Principal is on solid ground on this one. Serve your detention like a man or a woman, whichever you are.

i think of he relatively does have the nicely suited in view which you have been nonetheless on college sources at that factor. yet he don't have given you a detention for that. i might in basic terms take my shirt thoroughly off for the period of detention lol.

If you're on school property they can do anything they want, as long as it's a rule in writting.

Doesnt make it right.
