Earth coming to an end?

I think that there wuz a show that had 100 ways Earth could end.Does anyone know a site that lists those?

That scareschow has been on Discovery channel a few times. Amusing and a lot better than algore's cartoon, "An Inconvenient ..whatever....
Not to worry, tho. The things that will destroy the planet are:

The sun explodes (a few billion years distant)

Things that will significantly alter life as we know it:
(other than the sun exploding)......

large debris from space collides with the planet (This actually has a chance of happening, but there's jack that we can do about it)

Global Thermonuclear War....This we can prevent, but it takes a large dose of peace which most of the world's population will not swallow.

Scenario 1 is a non-starter: the mass of all of the people comes from somewhere... the earth itself. New mass isn't created by people being born, it's transferred from the food we eat. Scenario 2: The mass of the polar ice caps is not insignificant, but it is not going to cause the earth to spin wildly out of control. In the past the Earth has gone through 'hothouse' stages where there was no ice at all (especially very early one) and icebox' stages where everything was frozen.

some of these are...black hole-wandering black hole that would eventually eat our solar system
gamma ray burst-from a dying star and destroys our ozone which in turn kills us too
AI-Artificial intelligence i dont want to have to explain this one
nuclear war-obvious reasons
comet or asteroid-think of the dinosaurs
yellowstone volcano-largest volcano on earth, destroys all life in that area and puts our planet into a super ice age which may kill the human race

Anyone that can only come up with only 100 has a stunted imagination. I can think of 100 that only involve common household products and table salt.

As far as I know something might happened in 2012 when the mayan calendar dictates that there will be a new period.
