It depends on how much urine has been on the carpet. If its been peed on a lot then the sad truth is you'll need to change the carpets cause you'll never get that smell truly out. I think there is a product at Petsmart that you can buy that helps get the urine smell out of the carpets and pet carriers. I don't remember the name but its about 12 bucks. And for the cigarette smoke you'll need to wipe down the walls with water and any house hold cleaner (bleach, pinesol, lysol). Then open the windows and air the house out.

Did you know that you're supposed to be in charge of your dogs as the alpha leader?! They need to know that you're the boss and that the boss doesn't want them urinating in the house. Accidents do happen though. Try baking soda. It neutralizes nearly all smells. If it's a carpet problem, then just powder the carpet with baking soda (not baking powder!) and let it set for at least 2 hours before vacuuming. This will also neutralize the cigarette smell in carpets to some extent. You can do this on upholstered furniture, too. Don't use too much though - it would just be a waste. Throw some down the sink and in the toilet, too. You can also use it to neutralize smells in the refrigerator. Wash your curtains and any other washable fabrics (pillow cases from throw pillows for example) - that's where the smoke smell really clings. If it's really bad, you can soak them in baking soda and water before washing.
Get those dogs trained though or you'll be cleaning 'til kingdom comes and they'll die laughing...

First house train your dogs. If they are more then a yr old take them to a vet to make sure they do not have bladder issues. Confine them to one room if you must. My dogs KNOW they are not to leave the kitchen area they are not allowed on carpet. When they are on carpet we are with them and they are housetrained. However when they were pups they had accidents and we just used a steamcleaner to clean up the urine. There is also products out that focus just on pet urine issues try the link that I will post.If you go to Petsmart/Petco or even your vet (though the vet will be more expensive) they will have products to help in the urine smell removal. Be greatful it wasnt a damn cat! As for cigarette smell stop smoking in the house! You'll have to wash everything the carpets, curtains, walls, furniture anything that is pourous will have that smell in it.

Well, for starters housebreak your dogs or anything you do will be for nothing.....Secondly, go to the warehouse club store and buy a 6 lb. bag of baking soda and a 1 lb. box of iodized salt and a cheese shaker you know the glass ones with the holes... Mix the two together really well and liberally shake onto the carpet and let sit.... Leave the dogs outside...The baking soda will neutralize odor and the salt traps loose dirt.. You'll see when you vacuum that the salt will not be white, but grey... I would launder your furniture as well...If you can take the covers off your cushions and wash inside out and hang to dry.... If you can't sprinkle with the salt/soda mix and vacuum.... You will have to vacuum really well to pick up all the baking soda/salt but it does work. If it still smells rent a carpet cleaner....

The pH in vinegar will neutralize dog urine. Burning candles will get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke. I hope you have trained your dogs to do their business outside and that you now have a smoke free environment because otherwise you have a very difficult task ahead of you in trying to keep a clean house. Good luck.

I clean houses and offices and what you need is to wash down the walls everything in your house. For the carpet you may want to have a professional carpet cleaner clean and steam you carpets. They will have good cleaners to get rid of the smell. If you want to do the carpets yourself. You can go a janitorial supply store to get a carpet cleaner to get rid of the urine smell, they have supplies for schools and hospitals.
Also to wash down the walls I would use a product called Oda Ban you could use it too to clean and steam the carpet. Some hospitals use this product. I use it in my home.
I hope this helps

That's a really hard question. If you have carpet it may be impossible. The urine gets into the fibers ( carpet fibers are basically just fabric) and the padding and is really hard to get out. The only thing that might work is massengill and vinegar. Yes, I said massengill. Along with vinegar they are the two best for getting out smells. Vinegar will work for most cleaning. You just need to be careful if you use it on natural stone products because it could etch them.

The number one thing is to get your dogs housebroken or leave them outside. You don't want your house to be springtime fresh & then have Fido piddle in the midst of it.
To really get the smell out of your carpets & upholstery, use a steam cleaner. You can follow this with some Febreeze. For any drapes or curtains, take them to the cleaners. That will be some of the best money you can spend.
Good luck!

Face it! If you are letting your pet pee all over your house you are on the verge of of losing your entire house!
Do I need to repeat myself??
If you are so freaking well off that you can allow your pets to pee all over your house, you are also an idiot and need to seek professional mental health!
