i had answered a previous question and was just wondering how many people know what a cholo/chola is.
i know what it is but im just wondering how many people dont know.
if you do know, what describe one....

I know what a cholo/a is, but let's see if I can describe one... A person who likes to wear baggy pants that look somewhat dressy, almost like slacks. They wear shiny dress shoes, kinda pointy, and usually a 'beater shirt' (what is it called, an A shirt, or an Ace shirt... something like that) and sometimes a button up shirt over their beater shirt, but usually unbuttoned and never tucked. Their hair is slicked back with grease or something, and they like to drive long old, low riding cars, and most of the time they like to say "Ese bato!", and from my understanding they're mostly Hispanic. How did I do????
Oh, I forgot about the girls... they dress pretty much the same, but their hair isn't slicked back, but rather long most of the time, I think.

A cholo is term implying a Hispanic male that typically dresses in chinos (khahki pants), a wifebeater sleeveless teeshirt or a flannel shirt with only the top buttoned, a hairnet, or with a bandana around the forehead, usually halfway down over the eyes. Cholos often have black ink tattoos, commonly involving Catholic imagery, or calligraphy messages or family names.
