After reading a "Pros" and "Cons" write up about his new movie, Sicko, it appears that he is trying to do again what he tried with Ferenheit 9/11: to broadcast to the world that the USA is a bad and unfair country, while he makes hundreds of millions of dollars.

they only good that comes from his movies is the fact that he shines a light on subjects that most americans will never see the inner workings of. of course he's not going to be even handed in his portrayal of any subject he's going to expose, but as a viewer of his movies one can always discuss and explore the topic further for our selfs and make up our own minds as to what the truth really is.

Of course not. He makes documentaries. He has to have an opinion or he has no movie and if it is not an unattractive opinion then why would you pay money to go see it?

This show is about him taking on the medical industry and in doing so the federal government.

He takes abunch of 9/11 sufferers to Cuba to get health care to show that the detainees at Quantanimo get better medical treatment than people in the US.

He is hiding his master copies off the country in case the government decides that what he has filmed is illegal, or so he said in a recent interview.

At any rate, the title alone should tell on which side of the argument he will be on.

How do you know that Michael Moore doesn't give to charity? He once paid for the medical bills for one of his biggest critics - anonymously. How do you know he lives a lavish lifestyle? He always looks like a fat slob in his movies. I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong but you seem fairly certain in spite of providing no links or other evidence to support your claim. Just being pissed off doesn't make you right.

No, he's not objective at all, nor does he pretend to be. His movies are made to illustrate his point of view...just like when you had a write those "pursuesive essays" in school.

I'm baffled by the fact that people get so angered at Moore for having an opinion. When did it become a bad thing to have a point of view in this country?

Michael Moore is so far from objective it's frightening. His entire goal is to convince Americans that our country is evil, the administration is evil, that anything to do with America is evil. He's out for himself and controversy only. The man needs therapy.

EDIT:

Let me just say that if you're going to produce a documentary exposing alleged truths and information on critical topics, you need to be objective in your statements. Moore exposes solely his point of view with no regard for the opposite side. Moore fears the opposing side simply because he knows he can and likely will be debunked.

It's a lot easier to produce a bias-filled unobjective mockumentary with only one side than actually take the effort to use both sides. Moore may have valid points somewhere, but they're marred by his unwillingness to show an opposing view and his blatant ignorance. An opinion is one thing, to create a documentary simply to further his bullshit agenda is another.

He doesn't appear to be objective in the least. Look how many people he pissed off when he used footage of them without their permission for F-911. In some cases he had their permission, but then manipulated the footage to change the appearance of their oppinions completely. Some of these people were war heroes - how disrespectful and down right unpatriotic.

He's a self serving hype monger that doesn't give a crap about this country - he's more interested in using shock value to hypnotize us into lining his pockets.

If by objective you mean does he start with no opinion on the matter at hand, then no, he is not. He certainly has an ideological viewpoint regarding his subject matter.

However, that does not make what he has to say invalid. Anyone on the other side of his arguments is free to try to disprove them

He is trying to make this nation BETTER. you are probably a republican, and that also makes you a shi T bag.

All of Michael Moore's movies are unabashed advocacy. I don't think he has ever pretended to be impartial.

However, you miss the point if you think this movie is intended to show the world the US is bad. He is trying to show YOU that this country has problems, and urge you to do something productive about it.

He has to fund his food bill, fat schmuck. That and give more conspiracy theories for the naive sheeps out there. However upon closer examination and thought, it has been determined that Moore is in cahoots with Castro in an attempt to take over the United States of America, soon to be called the Fidel's States.
