Who's the cheapest to ship things with, Post Office, UPS, Fed Ex?

Generally speaking, the US Postal service has the lowest rates for ground service, but not by a great deal. Their delivery times, of course, are also the slowest, and they provide NO insurance unless you pay extra for it.

All three have to be competative in their rates. However, UPS stands heads and shoulders above the others in reliability.
