Slope formula

m = y₂- y₁/ x₂- x₁

Ordered Pairs

(4, - 4)(4, - 7)

m = - 7 - (- 4) / 4 - 4

m = - 7 + 4 / 0

m = - 3/ 0

Slope is undefined.

- - - - - - - - - - -s-

The slope is infinite/undefined because you use the following equation:

(-7 - (-4)) / (4 - 4) = infinity

You get a vertical line.

The answer is undefined since x=4. That means that this is a vertical line.

since the line is constant x the slope is infinity:
(-4 -7)/(4-4)

use the formula, m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1).

m = (-7 - -4) / (4 - 4) = -3/0, which means that there is no slope, or it is undefined.

It doesn't exist as the line goes straight through 4 on the x-axis.
