Take a bubble bath, take a walk, rent a movie and eat pop corn in my PJ's. Read a good book and drink my tea. Listen to good music. I just do whatever I want to when I'm alone and need "me" time.

When I need time for myself I do several things, but my favorite is to go on a road trip. I make it an all day thing, get a way from the rat race, and look for things to do. Sometimes I go to garage sales, or I stop at a small mom and pop restaurant for something to eat, or I may go driving in the countryside to enjoy the scenery. I also love to go to museums, check out art galleries, antique shops, I also like to check out old churches and its architecture, and if it's open I will go inside sit and meditate, whisper a quick prayer before I go on my way. As for doing anything pathetic or stupid to need time for myself, I really can't think of anything unusual I've done, except maybe slam a six-pack in a park or something.

I volunteer at my church. A couple weeks ago, I got there for an evening event (to volunteer), but they didn't need me to stay. Because I had told my husband I'd be home at 8, I struggled to go home. I desperatly needed time alone away from my 18 month old and 4 yr old. So I went to a coffee shop, ordered a coffee and read the paper for two hours. It was like heaven.

I'd go read a book, or just sit by the computer and browse the Internet. If I have anything I feel I need to write down, I keep a pen and pad nearby if I'm reading a book, or load a word processor if I'm at the computer.

My favorite cure is a mani/pedi. My husband can handle the kids and I get that time I need. I have time to myself every weekend and it works very well, keeps me sane. I go play with my friends, go read at the coffee shop, do some shopping or have a massage. Don't get down, whatever's bugging you can be sorted out. Chin up, sugar!

I usually go to my room and draw. It is quiet and I wouldn't get fustrated easily, or I turn on the TV close the door. If anyone comes in I order them out. Everyone knows not to annoy me more than they should.
