Yes they are! My husband is the same way. Unless you spell it out for them..........they don't have a clue!

What you SHOULD have done with your "emotionally retarded" guy is to tell him as he's getting ready to ride off with his buddies, "Don't stay gone too long, b/c I'm goning to shave my legs and put on a new negligee." That would probably have kept his time with his pals pretty short!

No. Not all men are emotionally retarded. My husband and I are both middle aged (mid-40's), when he goes out with his (our) buds, he invites me along.
Is there a reason you're not fun to be with? I'm not being mean. Maybe you need to ask yourself this though.

Women expect men to act like women emotionally. Some of you don't get that maybe we have different emotional needs and that we express them differently than women do.
Your husband has been waiting to have some free time to be with the boys again. He needed to have some male bonding time. Let him have his time and I can guarantee if you do so without nagging, he will give you the time that you need

I think it is kind of harsh to call all men "emotionally retarded."
However, I WILL grant that many of them are exceptionally selfish, thoughtless, and generally too self-absorbed to figure out that they MIGHT want to consult with their spouse before conducting themselves in such a way that will inevitably result with their bed being moved to the sofa!!

What a goober! We're horny at inconvenient times, and brain damaged when the time is perfect. Leave a note for him for when he gets back: "I was all primed up ready for some heavy duty "action", but you weren't here. So I went shopping with some friends. Catch you later!" He'll cry when he realizes what he's done.

did you communicate with your hubby
in the first place
on how you wanted to spend that quality time?
if not, then the error is on your part.
if yes, and he still went out for a ride with his buddies,
then he may have not taken you seriously
or may have not heard you clearly.
i don't like generalizing ppl ie men in one category.
we as women err too

No you don't, and this fits right in with the question asked by a guy about married women cheating. Your husband should give you the attention you deserve!

Yes, I think so. My husband seems like a shell with nothing inside(feelings, thoughts, etc.)- I don't demand or expect anything from him usually but he still doesn't respond. I don't know what men's problems are, but all I could see that my husband brought inside his baggage suitcase to our marriage is one lonely football maybe?

Oh I would be so mad... Kick his butt girl! But then again... what do we expect from them? They never seem to understand our feelings... So I tend to tell my husband EXACTLY what I want. Then he can make his own decision, with my desires in mind as well.
