..in the first place, considering at your suggested state of darkness, I doubt if any color will by no means be classified, but to answer your question , since you said it yourself that the color of your shirt is RED, then the color red of your shirt does not change, no matter how very dark the shirt place can get. So my answer to your question is a big hot RED.

It's still red, but you won't see that. To see colors light will have to reflect off of the shirt and so you can see it. Anyways the shirt will still be red.

When a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman there to hear him is he still wrong?
The color of the shirt is a physical property of the shirt and does not change. To see the color we need light. When there is no light we cannot see that its red but it still red.
And of course he is still wrong ;)

It stays red but you just don't see the photons reflecting off of it and bringing to your eyes the visible light spectrum. That is like saying that if you are in a completly black room with a bowling ball, the bowling ball is still there you just can't see it.

It's still red, you just can't see it. Color is a physical property that doesn't go away with a lack of light.

well.. your shirt is red because it absorbs the most higher energy photons and reflects the lower ones (red).
If you were in the darkness there would be no way o f knowing that your t-shirt is red; execpet if you knew already it was red.
Using the man methaphor, the man could never know he was wrong , if no one told him.
