I have to say the Monsters of Rock Tour at the Silverdome in 1988. Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken, Metallica, Kingdom Come, although you could throw out Kingdom Come. The Police in 1987 was also incredible!

Paul McCartney at Rupp Arena in April 1990. That show blew me away. He played for 2 and a half hours doing songs from his then new album Flowers In The Dirt; for the rest of the show he performed his solo classics as well as songs by Wings and of course the Beatles. The show began with a short film directed by Richard Lester (the guy that directed Help and A Hard Day's Night). The first clip began with the title 1964 and showed the Beatles performing "A Hard Day's Night". Then 1967 flashed across the screen and it showed the Beatles perfomance of All You Need Is Love (everyone cheered when John was shown singing). Then 1976 came on the screen and it showed Paul with Wings performing "The Long and Winding Road". Then 1983 came on the screen and the video of "Say Say Say" was shown. Then 1989 came up on the screen and it showed the video of a song from Flowers In The Dirt, "Ou Est Le Soleil?". Then a loud, low tone echoed through the arena and the word NOW flashed on the screen and the crowd cheered and Paul ambled onto the stage and the crowd went estatic. He started playing "Figure of Eight" from the new album.

Paul ended with a exteneded version of Hey Jude and walked off. Then, as the encore, he came out and performed "Yesterday", then "Get Back" and then he started playing "Golden Slumbers" on a piano beside Linda. Then during the drum solo of "The end" he ran down and grabbed a guitar and the band jammed through the rest of the song. Then he finished the end. It was the best concert I ever been to.

It is okay for a black person to go anywhere they want!! Keep in mind, rockers have a rock god named Jimi. I'm not familiar with the group you mentioned so I cannot say whether you would like them. Sorry. Listen to some of their music before you buy tickets just in case they are skinheads. Unforunately, there are still a few of them running around. It's a shame the Stones are not touring still. That was an unbelievable concert!!

There were three that stand out most for me.
1978 - second ever concert at Giants Stadium Aug 6 1978.
Aerosmith , Ted Nugent, Journey , and Mahogany Rush.
At the time, Nugent was my god and I was right at the front of the stage for his set. It was gen. admission so there were no seats on the field and I got so close that I was in a lot of the pictures that ended up in rock magazines. Aerosmith was very disappointing. They were at the end of their tour and at the peak of their drug years. Journey was still a few years away from becoming the mega- superstars of the 1980's.
1990 - Yes at the Philadelphia Spectrum
It was all the members of Yes past and present. About 8 musicians in all and what a show!
1992 - Guns n Roses and Soundgarden at Madison Square Garden. GNR were just plain ON that night and they played for nearly 3 hours. Slash just blew me away - I never realized just how good he was until after this show. Soundgarden was on the brink of their prime and had just released the album with "Jesus Christ Pose" - sorry the name of the album escapes me at the moment. I've been to many more but these three stand out most in my mind.

Wow toughie there..I would have to say some the best I have been to are:

GWAR @ House of Blues @Disney World.. I would say they have the most unique and entertaining show I have ever seen...if you ever catch them be sure to wear a white t-shirt and be prepared to get soaked...have seen them the most.

Headbangers ball tour with Anthrax, Helloween, & Exodus @ The Omnibus(also been called The Rave and believe is currently known as The Eagle's Ballroom) Milwaukee WI

Milwaukee Metal Fest held in August of 1987 @ same place as Headbangers ball tour - 2 day concert..had Overkill, Motorhead, Slayer along with less known bands such as Anal Blast. Had 2 stages going on at once..one upstairs and one downstairs.

Megadeth in 1987 @ the Aragon Ballroom, Chicago Illinois

Rush @ Alpine Valley (best light show I've seen, thats sitting in the seats not on the hill)

Monsters of Rock @Alpine Valley in WI(same tour you are talking about but seen it on 1st day of the tour) but didn't stick around for Van Halen..didn't care for them with Sammy Hagar.

If Seen, Santana,Ministry,NIN,PigFace,The Mars Volta,Manu Chao,Sublime, many many more and they were all great but the on that rocked my world and I still feel buzed just thinking about the show was KRS-ONE in Chicago at the Metro in06 it was just an amazing amount of energy emitting from this guy truly amazing. At one point the Sound System Failed the guy put his mike down and did an amazing ACAPELLA show off the cuff Anti-Bush poems that were just jaw dropping amazing he has the inspiration that all the hip hop community lack.

Although I'm not a huge fan, I would have to say David Bowie around 1974-75. I actually went with my friend who was crazy about him. The performance and theatrics were just way ahead of their time. When he sang Major Tom he was perched on this platform high above the stage and his microphone was a telephone. As the song progressed the platform swang far out over the audience. It was so much fun and after all these years it still stands out in my mind.

I've seen Rush 4 times starting in 85'. I also saw Korn in 2002 with my son. Rush is my favorite band, but Korn put on a great show.

Joe Satriani with co-headliner Dream Theater in 2002 with King's X opening. It was an outdoor show in August and not too hot.

Joe was touring with my favorite bassist Matt Bissonette.

Dream Theater had released "Six Degrees of Inner Tubulence" the year before so I knew the words to every song.

And I hadn't heard King's X in about 10 years, and they still sounded the same.
