When you're an actor, can you bring your pet along to the places you film? Such as a dog?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take a pet along to a location, provided your pet was off the set during filming. And you have to realize that unless you're the star of the film, you'd have to pay for your pet's transportation and boarding and off-set care and feeding. Studios as a rule don't provide pet care for their actors' animal friends. You also need to consider your pet's well-being; location shoots can be in some pretty rough territory--would your pet be safe and comfortable in a very hot or cold climate? Would your pet require special shots, food and restrictions if in a foreign location? Many actors going on location find it easier to have family or friends look after their pet while shooting, and stay in touch by phone calls or messages.

If you are a star, and the shoot is in the US, then sure. Even stars have to abide by the laws of other countries. If you are a bit player - the filmmakers would probably take a dim view of having your pet on set.

yes i don't see where there would be a problem, but if your going to a different country you might want to make sure your pet has had all of it's shots and documentations that it has had all of it's shots as well.
