It kinda depends on what you're looking for. We recently did a trip that included both, and had a super time.

Six Flags is all about the roller coasters. If you & your family like high-speed, upside-down, twisted fun, then you'll LOVE Six Flags. FYI, we were there on the 4th of July, and shockingly enough, there were no lines!!! We parked in the front row, and the only time we actually had to wait for a ride was in the evening, when we went back to go on the one coaster that we had missed during the day. We were probably in line for about 20 minutes for that one.

If you're gonna do Universal Studios, I HIGHLY recommend getting the VIP pass. They have a couple different options...there's a "front of the line" pass, that means you get to hop to the front all day, but the VIP pass is even better. We were in a group of about 20 people, and were led around the park by a guide. Besides getting to the front of the line for every attraction, we also got the very best seats available for all of the shows, and had the opportunity to see parts of the park that are not open to the general public. We had a tour of the prop department (family photos of the Klumps, etc.), and were literally walking around the set of Finding Jordan.

Both are super fun, and aren't far away from each other. If you can make the time, do both!

Six Flags over GA is great- fast moving all day action packed. What I like even better is Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. By far one of the coolest parks in Florida. The Hulk coaster is amazing as well as the Dueling Dragons coaster. There is also the kid friendly Dr. Suess themed area for younger kids and kids at heart!

I think that Six Flags is more fun for people who actually like to ride rollercoasters, but Universal Studies is more of a family park

I have found that Universal Studios is better because of all the fun things for families to do together.

Personally I had fun at both, If your family likes roller coasters than its definitly six flags, if you like the movies and want to ride rides like the movies than choose Universal. You can get double passes for both parks some places, just look for them.

Six Flags is high octane. So if you have a family w/teens and the parents can still handle some thrills, SF is it. Otherwise, Universal is more little people-friendly.

six flags because it has great variaty of rides for adults, kids, and for the whole family. universal studios is also fun but many people dont like it because theres not so much thrill. so i guess it really depends on what your family is into: thrill rides or 3D rides. they are very diffrent from eachother but they are both fun.

in my view, i like Six Flags becuase some have sturdy curler coaster, ought to declare super coasters, and that i like coasters, yet Disney is the final for a week with peoople of each and every age and Hershy for one million or 2 days. well-known Studios is physically powerful for coasters and relaxing rides, yet no longer as sturdy to three six flags.
