If you have to ask about goin to the doctor, you should at least call... they are more than likely going to tell you to give him pediacare or little colds and get a humidifier and if it doesn't go away then bring him in. Good Luck

My daughter is 2 mos old and has a cold as well, she's been sneezing, coughing and has been getting more and more congested every day it seems like, and is VERY fussy. She's been like this for about a week and I'm taking her to the doc today. If you feel like he needs to see a doc I would take him in, you can never be too careful w/ these little ones!

Yes, call/bring him to the doc....considering his age and the fact that it has been going on for two weeks. Could be something (could also be nothing...but you need to be sure!).
Not to scare you but my daughter was around the same age and ended up having RSV, two ear infections and pneumonia. I had no idea...she had no temp and virtually no other signs other than typical cold symptoms. Needless to say I felt absolutely TERRIBLE.
At this age I personally would not take any chances.

Problem not as a cold is a virus. There is no cure for a virus just meds to help alleviate the symptoms. If your baby would develop a fever over 103 or get diarrhea or stop eating and drinking then I would be concerned. By the way did you know antihistamines can help dry up the mucus?

At 11 weeks, decongestants are ineffective. Use a humidifier (cool mist is best) and some little noses saline drops with an aspirator. Should clear it up in no time!

Not really. I would get some children's Tylenol cold medicine, that's what they told me to give to my daughter or pedicare its better for a baby and its near the Tylenol medicine. If it keeps up then take him to the doctor. They eventually gave my baby stuff for allergies because she always had a runny nose.

If you ever have doubts, call the nurse exchange. They will tell you whether you should bring your child in or not. No one on Yahoo will be able to diagnose or prescribe your child anything.

No I think your son is fine, just keep a humidifier in his room at night that should help with his cold.
