Are scary movies better the suspense thrillers?

I like the suspense-thriller movies, but some scary movies are cool too. What do you prefer?

I like the scary ones because they give me an excuse to cuddle up a little closer to my man:)

Suspense thriller. A good suspense thriller IS scary. Now, a really good scary movie can be suspenseful, too, but I find that most supposedly scary movies are really not that scary at all. Ooooh. Ghosts and monsters. I'm really scared now. Yeah. Right.

But a good suspense thriller usually involved real people in realistic situations. Haunted houses? Not scary. Terrorists? Scary. A murderer being chased by the cops could really kill you. A serial killer living in your neighborhood could really get you. That's what a good suspense thriller is about. That is what scares me.

I like suspense thrillers better. Most of the scary movies that have been coming out lately are all gore-fest, shock the audience, gross-out movies. I definitely don't like those :(
One of my favorite suspense movies is Double Jeopardy with Ashley Judd--good stuff :)

Probably scary movies. Suspense in the movies drives me bananas.

suspense thrillers. there aren't many big differences between them. but scary movies will make you laugh seeing how they are made. they are 10% acting, 90% computer generated effects.

I'll go old school on this one and say that the original 'Friday the 13th' is one of my favorites and of course all the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' movies were good too. There was a weird old horror type movie called 'Scanners' that was out in the early 80's too.
