A friend of mine said, " I hate movies that start with the last scene in the movie, trying to figure out how it gets there." What's wrong with that?

I'm a little confused about your question. I don't really get your ultimate question.
I never really thought about movies like that before. Phantom..Opera and The Prestige both start that way.

Non-linear plotting is sometimes just a gimmick to try to make an otherwise pedestrian story seem more interesting than it really is. On the other hand, it can produce some wonderfully complex movies if done well. Maybe your friend has seen some movies in the first category, or maybe he just likes his action linear so he doesn't have to exercise his brain.

Oh yeah, particularly with the fee of action pictures now. I propose the place I stay it somewhat is approximately 8 dollars a individual to be sure a action picture, and that may no longer something whilst in comparison with what it somewhat is like in California and different states like that. I hate the flicks that have an open ending. additionally, I hate those the place there is obviously going to be a sequal. I propose, seem on the Harry Potter video clips...all of them have an ending, and you already understand that there is going to be yet another one, that's good using fact they even have an ending to all of the flicks. yet lots of the different video clips somewhat suck when you consider which you watch the full element and then it in basic terms ends with you having to attend yet another finished twelve months and bypass see the subsequent one...and you in all probability have already forgotten approximately that one by the time the subsequent one comes out. Yeah I trust you a hundred%

I love those films. The obvious one would be Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino.
That film has been many a discussion about what happens first and whats the beginning and whats the end in the pub!
I like a film that you can make you think. That makes you go to your mates the next day and say 'Hey did you see that weird film last night?' and they say 'yeah... i didn't get it!!' then start discussing it....

I think your friend should watch 'Pulp Fiction'. That's the best movie EVER like that ( I think so anyway). There was also that Seinfeld episode like that, that mess was funny.

All in all, though, your friend has a right to his/her own opinion. If we all liked the same kind of movies, we wouldn't have anything to argue about!

Aw, I love those kinds of movies. Like "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," first one to pop in my mind. Or like the other guy said, "Prestige." Those are intense, powerful movies. Ah, good stuff!!

Nothing, just some people don't like that. It is kinds annoying sometimes, but I don't think it makes or breaks the movie..

Sounds like your friend wants pure entertainment without much concentration.

Take "Memento". Great movie that goes backwards the entire time. "Deja-Vu" is another one. You have to pay attention to understand the movie.
