It feels like there is a foot up there, but its not kicking, it's just painfully sore. Is this normal? It switches sides as well...

Your baby probably rotated positions. Those last few weeks the amniotic fluid gets lower and lower, so you will feel the movements more and the pressure will increase as the due date nears.
It may also be heartburn; that's a common side effect of pregnancy.
If this is your first child and you still feel the least bit paranoid, don't hesitate to call your doctor. Better safe than sorry (and better comfortable than sore!).
Good luck!

Yep, that's a foot! Had the same thing with my 2 ND daughter who was 8.14 oz. 23" long. At least that part of having a baby these days hasn't changed. Arching your back could help relieve it for a few seconds.

I'll put $ 20 on a foot to the diaphragm.

yeah i ended up in the er when i had it for like three days straight and they said it most like a pulled muscle if it is really hurting to breath then just relax and take short breaths like you are meditating if you know how to do that if that still doesn't work take Tylonel and go and lay down for a bit.
