I just took the 70-086 in 13 minutes and miss the passing score by one question. The questions were easy and I know SMS inside and out.

No, next time review all your answers before you finish. If you corrected one answer, you would have passed.

These tests aren't a competely true guage of what you really know. Even though you know an app back & forth, the test can ask questions that trip you up. Microsoft then decides - he's a rookie! Sorry.

To answer the question though - there's no deduction for knowing the answers and answering quickly - only for answering questions incorrectly. Most tests are now 'adaptive testes', so the number of questions they ask, and therefore the length of the test will be based on how accurately you answer the previous questions. If you miss a handful of those earlier in the test, the test may end pretty quickly and... fail you.

I think that it was a survey not an exam.
