My Matshita-UJ-840D DVD/CD-ROM Driver Says Its Corrupted Or Missing?

My discs won't work anymore and disc drive icon won't show in the My Computer folder.
I already tried uninstall it and reinstall but it still has a yellow '!' symbol on it at the Device Manager.

First, get your support disc for your computer and try loading the driver. If this doesn't work, try downloading it from your computer manufacturer's web site.

I have heard about these drives not reading or burning correctly - have you tried cleaning the laser lens with a Q-tip and some alcohol? This may also help.
