Hello! I'm a 20 year-old girl from Romaina and I'll be living in San Francisco for the summer and I was wondering how old do I have to be to go to a club in the USA. I know that the legal age for drinking is 21, but do you also have to be 21 to be able to enter a club or a bar?

Yes you have to be 21 just to be in a bar or club. Sorry to say, but they check ID too.

You are supposed to be 21, and they are supposed to check ID. Now, if the bar is operating under a restaurant license, they can let in anyone of any age, but you are not supposed to be served alcohol if you are under 21 - then again - I guess it depends on if your name is Lindsay Lohan or anything else famous.

wouldn't it be eighteen years of age unless of course they serve alcohol then it should be twenty-one!
