I never had the hot dog, but was told that it was very good. I believe that it was call the All American Dog. Now my mom worked at McDonalds at the time and when the hot dogs were done they had a ton of the mustard that they used for them left over so she brought me a jar of it. The were 100% all beef dogs.

I'm 39 and do not remember McDonald's ever having such a menu item. It they did offer such a product, it was most likely an experiment in a test market. Fast food chains will often test a product in regional markets before deciding to roll it out nation wide.

i do no longer keep in mind them ever serving hotdogs. I do save in options although that when I worked at McDonald's in intense college in Indiana we served Brats. for a month basically as a summer time particular. That replaced into in 2001.

It may have been a test run a only a few locales. It probably wasn't weel accepted and never was expanded nationally.
BTW, they do sell them at McDonald's in Japan. Probably made from Godzilla meat.

Not really....... but then again, they sold soup at one time & many different things. I don't keep up w/mcd's probably because I worked there & the thought of going there to eat just sickens me!!!

YES and they test marketed them in just a few cities at the time. Chicago area was a test market.
