No debit cards run like credit cards, but they don't work like credit cards. I work at a college. We run credit cards and debit cards the same. It makes no difference. It will just come right out of your bank account just like another transaction.

No, you are not in trouble. Most banks that offer debit cards like it when you use it as a credit card. I use mine all the time like a credit card.

If the debit card has the Visa or Mastercard logo, you'll be fine.

Not as long as there is a VISA/Mastercard logo on it and it can double as a credit card.
