Since Michelangelo's' time (and before) people have searched for the 'seat of the soul'.
The Truth is, no one knows where it resides.

"Part of the body..." I'd have to say the brain. As a proof, I offer this - remove any OTHER part, and you can still produce/create wishes and be either willing or unwilling to work. Remove the brain, and this ability leaves.

This sounds synonymous with the "will", which, as part of the mind, you can argue resides in the brain.
