What do you do when people give you too much information?
Do you roll your eyes, walk away, pretend to be interested?? Or are you intrigued by their openness? :)

Haha...that makes me think of a story...

I was telling someone at work about the tick that i had on my back during the weekend.

A lady in her 60's overheard me and began to tell me a story about how she was in the shower one night, and while she was washing, she felt something in her butt crack and discovered that it was a tick. Needless to say I wanted to barf...and i imagine all of you reading this probably want to barf too...sorry...TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!!

Depends on the day... I hear things from people every day... so it happens that I even ignore them sometimes... but that happens when I have a lot of work & they R just continuing talking & talking & talking.... Otherwise, I listen if I'm interested (depends on the topics) or just pretend to...

Intrigued, at first. Then I start to wonder if they think I'm open like them, or if they expect details from me as well. It can get kinda awkward.

You tell them, that those are things that you do not need nor want to know.
always be honest

or

start to tell them about the giant rash on your backside that is shaped like Mongolia, itches a lot, and is probably contagious.

I let my mind wander to a place of solitude - the dark side of the moon! I do nod once in a while so they think I'm listening, though.

I'm flattered they would feel open enough to tell me such things. I love hearing it all and theres not much one can say that will embarrass me.
